Campground Terms and Conditions
Cancellation Policy
A Cancellation fee of $50-00 will apply if notice of cancelation is not received 8 days prior to date of camp. The only exceptions to this will be inclement weather where closure of the campsite may be deemed necessary or by agreement with the Booking Officer.
Cleaning
- Facilities are to be left as they are found.
- Grounds are to be inspected for rubbish, tent pegs and rope
- Bunkhouse and Kitchen floors should be swept/mopped before departure.
- All kitchen equipment is to be cleaned and put away, fridges emptied, Stove top and Oven to be wiped and left clean and rubbish placed in the wheelie bins. excess rubbish to be taken away
Pets
No pets are permitted other than Registered Assistance/Service dogs (Proof of Registration may be requested) . We have Native Wildlife (Kangaroos, Birds) visit our Grounds on a regular basis. PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE NATIVE WILDLIFE, KEEP ALL FOOD STUFFS LOCKED AWAY.
Fires
Only the fire pit is to be used for open fires and must be kept under supervision at all times and be extinguished in the proper method.
Drugs, Alcohol and Smoking
- Please remember we are a Scouting Facility and Alcohol is not permitted unless approved by the Chief Commissioner as per QBSI.
- Smoking is not permitted past the Group sign situated on the driveway.
- The use of illegal drugs is not tolerated and will result in immediate eviction without refund and possible police action.
Power
- Camping is provided on an unpowered basis.
- No generators are permitted, only solar panels.
- Extension cords plugged into buildings are a trip, fire and safety hazard. They will be unplugged without notice; no responsibility for loss of property or food is accepted.
- You may use plug sockets to charge personal devices at your own risk.
- Please see the Camp Caretakers if you need to charge a medical device.
Vehicles
- Camp Grounds are not suitable for for Caravans, campervans, camper trailers and motorhomes due to size of Grounds.
- Vehicles are not to be driven beyond the bollards.
- Vehicles should remain in the car park during your stay when not being used.
- No responsibility is accepted for any loss from or damage to vehicles, however caused.
Groceries
Bribie Island Shopping Centre (Woolworths) or Aldi on Goodwin Drive, Supa IGA on Welsby Pde all a short drive away.
Camping equipment
Camping equipment is the property of the Bribie Island Group. Campground staff do not have the authority to loan or hire equipment, so please don’t ask. Missing or damaged equipment can be replaced at BCF, Anaconda or Outback Adventures in Morayfield, a thirty-minute drive away.
Watercraft
- A small amount of Bribie Island Group canoes can be hired by Groups at a price $10.00 per Canoe per Day.
- It is preferable that Groups supply their own Life Jackets but if needed can be hired at a fee of $5.00 per Jacket per Day
- This must be done in advance and is subject to the terms and conditions and qualifications of the leaders who will be supervising.
- A much wider range of watercraft, including kayaks, SUPs and other equipment is available from Bribie Island Hire Hut on the Passage foreshore, at Pumistone Lions Park on Welsby Pde.
Laundry
There is a public laundry a short drive away from the campground, at the shops on the roundabout as you first come off the Bridge beside the InkShop.
